Sunday mornings are our time to worship, praise and pray together. We believe it is a time to encounter the living God through engaging in worship that is God-honoring, Christ-exalting, Spirit-led, and invites us to engage through music, Scripture readings, Biblical messages and prayer. Then we are sent out to live what we have heard—to be God’s people, wherever God sends us. We know that different service styles can draw people into deep worship.
Our Contemporary service is a more informal style of worship with music, singing, prayer and teaching.
Our Traditional service incorporates the order of worship that God’s people have been using for centuries and features the First Pres Chancel Choir. It’s a service of liturgy, traditional hymns and preaching.
During the summer (and when a month has 5 Sundays), we come together to worship side-by-side in a single service.
Children are always welcome in our services, while childcare is also available. During our first service, mid-service, children are invited to leave for their own special worship time.
So, whether you are drawn to a more contemporary or a traditional service, we hope that you will soon call First Pres “home.”
