We are a connectional church. We believe we can do more together for God’s work in the world than we can alone. Our connections to other Presbyterian churches (PCUSA) make us stronger, give guidance, and support all our ministries.
We believe God is love. Our calling is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Matthew 22:37-40)
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) We are fallen people thankful for a savior. The gift of grace and peace is freely offered to all! We want to share that good news with the world. (Ephesians 2:8) “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
We believe we are the heart and hands of Jesus. We live in a hurting world that needs Jesus. God sends us out in the world with people, whether that is in our neighborhood, the person sitting next to us on Sunday, or across the globe.
We believe we are disciples who have not yet arrived. Our walk with God is a lifelong adventure. We provide Bible study and lessons for all ages and stages. From our preschool classes to our Best Years (retirement group), we are always learning more about God, our connection to each other, and how to meet physical and spiritual needs in the world.
We believe every person has a purpose. God has gifted us with talents and abilities that are intended to make the world better in the name of Jesus. At Kennewick First Pres we believe that every member has a ministry. Come find your purpose and meaning with us!
