Growing God’s Kingdom Through Mission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

his Saturday, March 1st, we have the joy once again to fellowship and celebrate the work of God through our church at our annual Mission Auction. The theme “Growing God’s Kingdom Through Mission” speaks directly to the “Great Commission” Jesus directed his disciples to follow just before he left them to return to heaven.
God may be calling us to “GO!” to a foreign place. God may be calling us to “GO!” across the street to meet needs in our own community. OR God may be calling us to “GROW” God’s Kingdom by supporting the Mission Auction. When we all come together, every little part makes a huge impact! We hope to see you Saturday at 5:30pm in the First Pres Center as we Grow God’s Kingdom Through Mission.
Holy and Beloved God, the Source of Life, we offer you our thanks and praise! Your presence is felt within us all, like the warmth of the fire on a chilly spring morning – and your holy presence wraps around us, so that we can see you in all things. There are times when our vision falters – and then, you send your Prophets, who help us see you more clearly. There are times when we feel abandoned and alone – and then, you send your Word to hold us close to you, so that we can hear your heartbeat, and be comforted. Forgive us for our failure to trust you and follow where you lead. Forgive us for neglecting our neighbor. Amen.
This Sunday, March 2, you can pick up a Lent Spiritual Practices Devotional intended to be used as a guide to help your own exploration of Spiritual Practices. We pray you will find a new way to Experience God in your own life and deepen your relationship with Christ the 40 days of Lent.
Most Wednesdays through Lent we will have short worship services at 6:30pm to experience a different Spiritual Practice.

March 12 – Fasting/Worshipping God with our bodies
March 19 – Prayer Practices (focus on the Lord’s Prayer)
March 26 – Meditation (5 senses prayer stations)
April 2 – NO MEETING during SPRING BREAK
April 9 – Confession & Repentance

April 17 – Maundy Thursday service 7pm in Garden Sanctuary
April 18 – Good Friday service 7pm in Main Sanctuary
