Music Sunday
Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
-Psalm 150
This Sunday in worship our Chancel Choir, Praise Team, Agape Ringers, Brass Ensemble, singers and musicians have prepared a very special worship service. It is MUSIC SUNDAY!
Psalm 150 is the last of the Psalms. It reminds the people that everything should bring Praise to God! All the instruments, all the voices, the animals, and even the heavens give praise for God’s power and glory. We will also celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Let’s join our voices and ourselves around the table in worship of God.
Please join us this Sunday for worship at 10am and bring a friend to enjoy this special Music Sunday service.
Psalm 145:8-17
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.
They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.
My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
