Youth Sunday
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.
-I Timothy 4:12-13
Youth Sunday is always a time of reflection and celebration. We think back on those little ones who used to sit in our preschool classrooms and sing in our Christmas programs, now receiving graduating senior quilts! What a joy to truly be a family of God growing together in love and unity. I encourage you to join us this Sunday for the beginning of our Summer Schedule of combined worship at 10am. The younger members of our church will lead us in song, prayer, and scripture. We also will celebrate the sacrament of Baptism and receive our 4 confirmation students as members of the church.
Special thanks to all of our youth leaders, volunteers, Sunday School teachers, mentors, parents, and staff who lead our youth, children and family ministries. You are truly the heart and hands of Jesus Christ to our families!

If God is putting youth and children’s ministries on your heart or if you are interested in helping start a Young Adult ministry program, please contact Pastor Sara or Pastor Hanna. We have big hopes and plans for the fall, but we need YOU!
Lord, we are challenged to let go of our will and trust in your will…
For our lives and livelihoods, for our families and friends, for our country and for this world.
Lord, we pray for Your presence in education and ask for teachers and administrators to protect our children and inspire them to discover their God-given calling. Please protect our schools from conflict and violence. Save us from school shootings and preventable tragedies in our nation. Lord, we pray for churches and ask you to preserve and protect them.
Lord, we pray for Your protection and that You would strengthen families, marriages, and bring healing to relationships. Lord, help us truly let go of the desires we have that are formed in fear by our residence in this world. Help us to embrace your desires for this world and live as though we are already in the Kingdom to come. Amen.
