The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated, at all three services, the first Sunday of each month and during several special occasions throughout the year. Our worship services are designed to usher participants into the presence of God through classical worship styles as well as more contemporary. All the services are crafted to deepen our walk with Christ through prayer, hearing God's word to us and through opening our hearts to His presence.
The 8:30 AM service is Contemporary Worship, featuring the Praise Ensemble leading the congregation in praise songs, as opposed to traditional hymns. The Praise Ensemble singers are accompanied by a variety of instruments including piano, saxophone, guitar, electronic drums, and mandolin. The balance of the service is scripture, prayer, and the sermon. During this service children ages four years through second grade to attend the first half of the service and are then dismissed to attend Children's Church.
A service, which offers elements of both the contemporary and traditional services, is offered at 9:40 AM. This service is a bit more traditional than the contemporary service, featuring hymns in place of the contemporary praise songs. Sunday School for all ages is conducted during this service.
The traditional service is held at 11:00 AM. This service features the Chancel Choir, traditional hymns, an anthem by the choir, and all the elements of the service most of us grew up attending. School age children attend the first part of this service and are then dismissed for Children's Church.
The Worship Ministry Team includes several smaller ministry sub-teams such as Ushering, Children's Sermon, and Banner Making.
