What is it?

In Greek, the word logos means "word." In Christianity, the logos refers to Jesus, the living Word of God.

LOGOS is our midweek ministry for young people in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Meetings are on Wednesday evenings from 4:15 – 6:45 p.m. from October through March each year. The goal of the ministry is to nurture a relationship with Jesus Christ and Christian relationships with peers and adult leaders. This is accomplished through a four-part program that includes Bible Study, Worship Skills, Recreation, and a family-style dinner. The program requires a commitment from each participating family to support the ministry financially and with their time and talents.

Parent Participation

The LOGOS Program enables parents to fulfill a portion of the basic responsibilities set by God for them in the upbringing of their children. Active participation by at least one parent or grandparent of every child in LOGOS is strongly encouraged. Part-time service by a large number of people is essential to keep the many activities going. At least as important, however, is the "morale boosting" effect of the parent's physical presence and visible support of the program from time to time. This is a vital element in the successful operation of the LOGOS Program. For the convenience of our adult participants, we offer free child care for pre-LOGOS children (infant - pre-K) from 4:00 until dinner at approximately 6:00 p.m.
